DESCRIPTION: John Rich, MD, MPH, Director of the Center for Nonviolence and Social Justice and Professor in Health Management and Policy,
gives students a unique introduction to public health through the lens
of historical racism in the United States. In this session, Dr. Rich
reflects on the impact of systemic racism on social determinants of
health and health outcomes, and the interventions that address health
inequities, such as the Healing Hurt People program.
