Team MEM06 would like to present our Senior Design project: Impedebris!
Impedebris is a passive, buoy-driven filtration system that mounts directly to existing drains. Our device uses the surrounding water level to raise and lower a perimeter mesh wall, creating a dynamic 'filtering strata.' Organic matter is trapped before it can damage infrastructure, while high-volume flow is preserved to prevent street flooding. Ultimately, this increases DOTโs critical response window before a blockage becomes an emergency.
